Light Source
Colour temperature (CCT) of an LED will dictate whether it emits a warm or cool light. The higher the LED’s colour temperature, the cooler the resultant light effect. It is measured in units of absolute temperature; Kelvin (K). Most commonly used CCT are 2700K, 3000K(warm white), 4000K(Natural Daylight). EC Lux provides extra options of 3500K in between, Amber colour as low as 1800K or as high as 6500K for Cool Daylight, and other colors otherwise specified. Besides above white colors, we also have a range of RGB/ RGBW products for your professional usage.
Colour Consistency: The MacAdam ellipse is a system of colour measurement. It is a measure on colour variation in the human eye detecting colour changes. A LEDs have to be adopted the MacAdam ellipse and SDCM (Standard Deviation of Colour Matching) measurement of colour consistency. The distance from the target point in each ellipse is measured in SDCM. An SDCM of 3 SDCM means that there is no visible colour difference to human eyes.
Colour rendering index (CRI) is a quantitative measure of the ability of a light source to reveal the colors of various objects faithfully in comparison with an ideal or natural light source. This is the effect of an illuminant on the color appearance of objects by conscious or subconscious comparison with their color appearance under a reference illuminant. The rendering operates on scale from 0 to 100, in which CRI 100 means perfect sunlight.
Higher CRI can reproduce the colors of the object more accurately it illuminates. EC Lux provides lightings with high CRI for the reflection of the actual colour of objects being illuminated. Vast majority of our products are with CRI 90 in default while in the professional market, most quality LED products are still with CRI 80 standard.
Unified Glare Rating (UGR) is a method of calculating glare from luminaires or bright light sources. Luminaire can be regards as “low glare” if UGR is below 19.
Our lightings within 3-steps SDCM, high CRI and lower URG can deliver the best color consistency, accurate object colour low glary impact for your projects.
